Overview:
Bizsentials Consulting is seeking a Legal Advisor to provide businesses with strategic legal guidance on liability, risk management, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution. This consultant will support business owners by ensuring they are legally protected and operating within all applicable laws.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on business risk management and liability mitigation.
- Assist in reviewing and structuring business policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Advise businesses on employment law, including worker classification, HR policies, and labor law compliance.
- Offer guidance on intellectual property protection, licensing, and brand security.
- Provide strategic recommendations for contract negotiations and legal documentation.
- Support clients in navigating business disputes, contract breaches, and settlement options.
- Keep clients updated on relevant legal changes that may impact their industry.
- Work alongside other consultants to ensure businesses operate legally and ethically.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar license in at least one U.S. state.
- 5+ years of experience providing legal counsel to businesses or corporate clients.
- Strong expertise in business law, contracts, employment law, and compliance.
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to simplify legal concepts for business owners without legal backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with litigation, mediation, or arbitration for business disputes.
- Familiarity with government contracts, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Prior experience as corporate counsel, general counsel, or legal advisor for small businesses.
