Overview:
Bizsentials Consulting is looking for an HR Consultant to help businesses develop and implement human resource strategies that support growth, compliance, and employee retention. This role will focus on talent acquisition, policy development, compliance with labor laws, and optimizing HR systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assist businesses in developing hiring strategies and recruitment plans.
- Create and update HR policies, employee handbooks, and workplace procedures.
- Provide guidance on employee classification (W-2 vs. 1099) and labor law compliance.
- Assist with onboarding processes and retention strategies for employee engagement.
- Develop performance management frameworks, including review processes and employee evaluations.
- Provide HR best practices for conflict resolution and workplace culture development.
- Ensure businesses comply with federal and state employment laws, including wage and hour regulations.
- Advise on HR technology solutions, including payroll, HRIS, and employee benefits platforms.
- Conduct HR audits to assess organizational compliance and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of HR consulting, HR management, or corporate HR experience.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, employment policies, and compliance regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and HR strategy development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
- Experience working with small businesses or startups to develop HR systems.
- Familiarity with HR technology platforms (HRIS, payroll software, performance management tools).
Compensation & Work Structure:
- Contract-based position with compensation per project or hourly rate.
