Government Contracts Consultant

Overview:

Bizsentials Consulting is seeking a Government Contracts Consultant to help businesses secure, manage, and comply with government contracts. This role requires expertise in federal, state, and local procurement processes, proposal writing, and contract compliance to help clients navigate opportunities in government contracting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist businesses in registering for government contracts, including SAM.gov, SBA 8(a), HUBZone, and GSA schedules.
• Identify and research contract opportunities that align with client business models.
• Guide businesses through the bidding and proposal-writing process for government contracts.
• Ensure compliance with federal procurement regulations, FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), and state/local contract requirements.
• Advise clients on subcontracting opportunities and teaming agreements.
• Provide training on the government contract lifecycle, including contract negotiation, performance, and compliance.
• Assist in certification applications for businesses seeking government contract eligibility (e.g., MBE, WOSB, VOSB).
• Monitor changes in government procurement policies and inform clients of new opportunities and regulatory updates.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in government contracting, procurement, or federal business development.
• Strong knowledge of SAM.gov registration, proposal writing, and contract compliance.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and municipal procurement regulations.
• Excellent analytical, research, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to guide businesses through government procurement strategies and opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with GSA schedule contracts and federal acquisition processes.
• Knowledge of SBA certifications and government funding programs.
• Prior work experience with government agencies, federal contractors, or procurement consulting.
