Overview:
Bizsentials Consulting is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant to help businesses enhance their security, protect sensitive data, and implement cybersecurity best practices. This consultant will assess risks, develop security policies, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct cybersecurity assessments to identify vulnerabilities in business operations.
- Develop security policies and protocols to protect client data and digital assets.
- Implement best practices for data security, network protection, and risk management.
- Provide guidance on compliance with cybersecurity regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.).
- Assist businesses in securing cloud services, business websites, and payment systems.
- Educate clients on cyber threats, phishing scams, and fraud prevention.
- Offer cybersecurity training sessions for business owners and employees.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, IT security, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
- Experience with penetration testing, threat assessments, and security audits.
- Familiarity with firewall configurations, encryption standards, and endpoint protection.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CISSP, CISM, CEH, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications.
- Experience working with small businesses and entrepreneurs on cybersecurity strategies.
- Background in incident response and security compliance.
Compensation & Work Structure:
- Contract-based position with compensation per project or hourly consulting rate.
- Fully remote with flexible scheduling.
- Potential for long-term consulting engagements.
